About Yeshiva al Kivro – The Largest Beis Medrash in the World!
Yeshiva al Kivro was founded in 5779 prior to the first yahrtzeit of Maran Rosh Hayeshivah Hagaon Harav Aharon Leib Shteinman ztvk”l. Originally called ‘Makirim Tovah’ to express the founders’ appreciation to the venerable Rosh Hayeshivah, the association swiftly grew and developed, attracting an unprecedented number of members both in Israel and around the globe. The above inspired the Rosh Hayeshivah’s talmidim to develop an innovative concept in learning and create Yeshiva al Kivro, a broad-based project that spans the Torah world.
In the mere two years since its inception, Yeshiva al Kivro has been blessed with extraordinary siyata diShmaya and manifest miracles that enabled its founders to uphold the last will and testament of Maran Rosh Hayeshivah—whose dying wish was that we should all learn l’ilui nishmaso. In the framework of Yeshiva al Kivro, tens of thousands of talmidim and talmidos around the globe participate in daily study tracks spanning all realms of Torah. The jewel in the crown is the tests that participants take after completing each day’s study regimen. This is an essential tool that facilitates absorption of knowledge, depth of understanding, and ensures that the learners maintain a consistent learning seder.
At Yeshiva al Kivro, we know that the secret to our phenomenal success is the zechus of Rabbeinu Maran Rosh Hayeshivah zy”a who dedicated his life to Klal Yisrael, never asking anything in return. Only during his final hours did he express a single request of hakaras hatov—appealing to every individual to learn in his merit. Yeshiva al Kivro thus evolved into Klal Yisrael’s means of upholding Rav Shteinman’s one and only request.

In a creative twist from regular learning, Yeshiva al Kivro is a virtual Beis Medrash employing advanced digital technology and computerized software to manage its global operation. In this way, the association has no need to fund offices or secretarial staff. All technical work and activities are conducted by talmidei chachamim who set aside hours from their busy schedules to compile comprehensive lists of questions that evaluate the knowledge and understanding of the learners.
Heeding the advice of Gedolei Yisrael shlit”a, Yeshiva al Kivro also offers valuable prizes to reinforce lomdim who participate in the daily learning program and score successfully on the tests. This approach has proven extremely successful, increasing the numbers of lomdim and creating an organized global learning program that unites tens of thousands of learners worldwide in limud Torah!
